The Epiphone Masterbilt DR-500ME Acoustic-Electric Guitar
The Epihone Masterbilt DR-500ME is an affordable flat-top dreadnought electro-acoustic guitar of superior quality. The Epiphone Masterbilt Guitars series honours Epiphone’s proud tradition of acoustic guitar design and manufacturing. The Epiphone DR500ME continues that fine tradition with features such as a solid Sitka spruce top with an excellent satin finish; solid mahogany back and sides that contain a tight, straight grain; a one-piece, slim, D-shaped mahogany neck fixed with a traditional dovetail neck joint; an expertly crafted rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl split diamond inlays; and a distinctive 1930s-style "offset notch" peghead shaped headstock with historic Epiphone script logo. The DR-500ME is well finished with a high standard of workmanship and has an attractive but understated vintage style.
As well as being an attractive instrument, the DR-500ME sounds terrific. With a tone that is lower to middle range, the DR-500ME had a deep timbre. With highs that are melodious and clear and lows that are well-rounded and rich the DR-500ME is a well-balanced instrument. Being a dreadnought the DR-500ME has impressive resonance and volume. With high-quality fretwork and a good action the DR-500ME has great accuracy when it comes to single note clarity. The DR-500ME allows for great speed up and down the neck with the silky smooth rosewood fretboard.
With the inclusion of the on-board stereo preamp system eSonic2 the DR-500ME performs fantastically when amped up. The eSonic2 gives the user optimum control of their amplified sound through individual EQ controls for the Nanomag pick-up and Nanoflex pick-up. The eSonic2’s blend slider gives you the ability to find the exact sound you want by mixing between the two pick-ups. The eSonic2 also includes a built-in tuner, volume control and phase button for feedback control.

How much does it run to repair the back of a guitar?
I have an Aria acoustic guitar vintage 1977 and the back panel is coming off. I think it might just need to be replaced. The closest dealer to me is about 200 miles. Any one know how much it will run for the repair?
Its really tough to tell without really seeing it. If nothing is broke, just separating they may be able to glue and clamp it, and that shouldnt cost too much. the best idea is to go online and find a luthier in your area. sometimes you can find guys that work right out of their homes. Before they start tearing into your guitar have them show you their work. When they give you the estimate, do yourself a favor and look up the value of your guitar and see if it is really worth the money you are putting into it. you will be able to find it in vintage guitar magazine's priceguide.
