Halloween Costume Ideas – Latest Themes for the Big Holiday
As a holiday or a day of celebration, Halloween has evolved from pre-medieval times to what we know it today. For kids, it's trick or treating and dressing up in ghoulish costumes. And the same applies for adults too. Whether you are a kid or an adult, most everyone loves to immerse themselves in a fantasy world for at least one night , even if that fantasy world is creepy and scary. With this said, what costumes are people likely to be wearing this year for their fancy dress parties at Halloween.

Surprisingly, the ideas that folks opt for each Halloween stay pretty much the same every year. Folks love to dress as Witches. This obviously matches the general supernatural and horror theme that Halloween is recognized for.
They like Pirate outfits for some reason. You might think that this is thanks to the pirate of the Caribbean movies but in truth pirates have always been popular. Or moreover, the appealing images we have of pirates from enduring adventure novels and hugely popular Hollywood movies.
Vampires and zombies are creepy or vile monsters that we find both horrific and strangely charming (at least for a night anyhow). Vampires are perceived as stylish, cool with super human powers. Being a vampire is cool and sexy. That they drink human blood to stay alive is a mere detail. At least it is if you are wearing a vampire costume for the night. Zombie outfits are just for the shock value. Most people like to be scared so what could be better than being the one to do the scaring.
Superhero costumes are a perennial favorite with kids and kids at heart. Why ? Well who can resist being a superhero for a day (or night). So not withstanding all the movies that make these characters popular, the thought of being different from the crowd or having some special power that mere mortals do not possess is a very appealing thought. Whether it is the traditional superman or spiderman costumes or the more way out items like the incredible hulk or Transformers costumes.
As a prediction of the more unusual costumes this year, consider some of the political personalities like Barack Obama. And even Michael Jackson is a sad but topical idea that people might be thinking about. Especially his Thriller outfit that obviously ties in with Halloween.

That one night stands/hook ups and pick ups are a total waste of time and that real relationships are way better? I don't see what the big deal is...I mean, people pick up with people and think it's "cool"...There are heaps of people in my grade who have and constantly think it is top stuff. They look down at the people who never have before and wonder why! I wonder why they have at all!
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming people who have and who do enjoy doing it, but aren't real relationships so much better ? Who else agrees?

I agree with you completely, one night stands and other such things are completely pointless, and especially if your like me and you addapt to people quickly. I would prefer to be in a relationship rather than pointlessly knocking eachother around a bedroom. I would rather build up love and trust, and then let love making be a relaxing, romantic explosion of emotions and passion. =] I mean, ive never been on a one night stand, instead ive been with my wife for 13 years, and i bet i feel alot better than all of those hormonal teenagers out there.
You should feel proud, because you deserve to be, you've made an extremely mature decision, and i really hope my daughter takes after you.
